Nervi Gardens

Foto Parchi di NerviThe Nervi gardens occupy about 92.000 m2. They are one of Genova’s important botanical complexes formed by a series of parks which in the past belonged to different villas (Gropallo, Serra, Grimaldi and Luxoro) and today are the property of the city and used as museums. The Nervi gardens cover a broad portion of territory between the walk to the sea named after Anita Garibaldi and Via Aurelia which is the antique Roman road.

In the parks visitors can admire numerous exotic and tropical plants, typical Mediterranean flora, several kinds of tall evergreens as well as a spectacular rose garden.

The relief behind the built up area of Nervi guarantee a more temperate climate than the other areas of Genova, thus making the parks a particularly good location for keeping the various botanical species that live there (more than 100)
