About the Project

Workpackages Description

The EPI-Water research project is developed in seven Workpackages (WPs) and the research activities are structured into three consecutive steps, as described in the plan of the work. Below there are the descriptions of each WP and their main objectives.

WP 6: Linking to policy and stakeholder engagement

WP6 is a transversal WP that lives throughout the life of EPI-Water research project. Its main role is to link the EPI-Water research project to both the research community and the policy making community, ensuring innovative ideas are identified, discussed and shared with both communities. In particular, this WP will ensure the involvement of prominent scientists/ International experts from outside Europe (USA, Canada, Chile, China, South Africa, Australia) in WP3 and WP4 research activities. It mobilises policy makers and water policy experts to guide the EPI-Water project.

WP6 OBJECTIVES

  • Establish and manage an advisory Policy Think Tank (PTT) to closely link EPI-Water research activities to policy making
  • Establish a group of international scientists and experts named the ‘Inspiration from beyond Europe’ group that will contribute to the innovative character of the EPI-Water research
