Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA)
29 November 2010

Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) is a technique to systematically assess trade-offs between different alternative options to assist rational decision making in complex problems.
MCDA is performed in a two step process:

  1. First a set of criteria is chosen such as greenhouse gas emissions or energy expenditure. These indicators are determined for each of the of the different alternatives, in this case the POLES scenarios.
  2. In the second step the decision makers can set their subjective preferences by weighting the importance of the different indicators.

Please, register to the MCDA-website and participate  in defining the weights for the Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, performed by Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI).

Note that contrary to the standard instructions below,  you only need to register once , at the  MCDA website.
