SECURE Project - Security of Energy Considering its Uncertainty, Risk and Economic implications

A series of events is foreseen by the project:

Meetings will be organized to assure a coherent and integrated execution of all work-packages. An initial kick-off meeting, two Intermediate Project Meetings, Four Project Steering Committee Meetings and three External Advisory Panel meetings will be organized.

Stakeholders Workshops will be organized to present preliminary results of the SECURE project and to receive their feedback to be included in the final results. Four thematic Stakeholders Workshops (covering all the different main scientific WP-activities) and three regional Stakeholders Workshops (in the three major energy supplying regions for the EU: Russia, The Gulf, North Africa) will be organized.

Forums for internal debates will be organized to will be organized to assure timely and efficient communication and exchange of informations.

  • a Final Conference.

The ultimate goal of the project is to increase the knowledge about the various aspects of energy security of supply, and the fact that this knowledge will have an important impact on energy policies and ultimately on the welfare of the European citizen, calls for an adequate dissemination of the results.

The following activities will be put in place:

  • A policy event (audition) at the European Parliament, in Brussels, in order to communicate our key messages and results directly to the European decision makers. Given the unique standpoint of the European parliament members, their feedback will be particularly precious in order to fine-tune our recommendations on the needs and priorities of the European Union.

 

  • A Final Conference in Brussels. This event will summarise three years of research activity and will present the key results of the project. Top-level key note speakers will be invited to present their ideas about security of energy supply, and to discuss the SECURE results in view of the state of the art in their disciplines.
