Methodology


According to CRUE ERA-NET :
"Resilience is the capacity of a system or a person to success and develop, in a way socially acceptable, when confronted with stress and an adversity".


Resilience deals with how systems and people can cope with, in the case of FREEMAN, a –possible- flood. According to the FREEMAN project resilience is can be influenced by several different constructs, as displayed in the figure below.


To find useful indicators that influence resilience this the project team will use the following approach:


Each partner is both responsible of their expertise as well as for the gathering of data in his or here case study area.
